Lets all be doing some snow dancing , weather is warm but a little snow Saturday night into Sunday morning will help. We will be grooming as temperatures allow, cant do much if snow is slush. This will be the second year vacation week has been warm . Lets hope weather pattern changes back to winter. Look out for hazards as trails can change very quickly, and remember traffic will be heavy and not everyone is an expert rider . Stay on your side in corners and stay in control at all times . We want everyone to enjoy Rockwood and Moosehead

TRAIL REPORT 2 / 5 / 2018

Our trails are the best so far this year . Hats off to groomer operators , Carey , Paul and Paul, they did an amazing job this week with the new snow. I rode our system Sunday morning and RT 66 was flat. In town trails are also very good to Moosehead and Brassua lakes. Just a little info the Birches has not been grooming over Blue Ridge because of ice , it is way to dangerous for the operators, imagine sliding backwards or off the trail in a groomer . There are ways around the mountain so ask if not

Wow what a great weekend for riding! Rockwood was full of sleders and ice fisherman. The groomers are going out tonight on route 66 and in town . I was surprised how well our trails held up this weekend with all the traffic. Rt 66 from Kokadjo to Kineo was groomed Saturday night, Parlin went out Saturday as did Jackman. Looks like some cold temps and maybe as little snow through the week. Rockwood is the heart of sledding in the Moosehead area, we have multiple loops from short to all day long , leave on one trail and return to town

Carey groomed everything out of town yesterday, RT 66 to Jackman and Pittston Farm. He reports that trails are very good once out of woods trails. We will groom again after this storm including in town to Brassua Lake , and MooseHead lake. Hoping we get more snow than rain, PLEASE stay off trails until Wednesday afternoon when it cools down so our grooming effort is not wasted, let the trails freeze. Our plan is to groom Friday night and see what mother nature deals us after that. Check out our facebook page to view Gopro video by the Bodemer brothers,

Mother nature sure is messing with our trial system! We had hoped everyone would stay off the trails Friday and Saturday , not the case, we had someone with a side by side on tracks  break thru every waterhole from green bridge in town out thru RT 66. Now we need a lot of snow and warm weather again to smooth trails out ,  PLEASE be careful as these frozen rutted HAZARDS, are very dangerous. We will be grooming this week to try and smooth out these areas. Groomer issues never seem to go away , the Bully has had
