1 / 6 /2020 TRAIL REPORT

We received a couple inches over the weekend . In town is very rough but doable, watch for rocks and stumps. The road trails are very nice, we did groom roads Friday night and it seemed to help a little, be cautious of ice base under snow everywhere. Hopefully this week brings more snow and no rain . The lake is not safe to cross anywhere, especially over to Birches , some are crossing at Kineo  but it is not marked yet , I don’t recommend going on lake until stakes are out . Please ride right and at safe

TRAIL UPDATE 11 / 18 / 19

Things are looking good for Rockwood trails. We will have Blue Ridge trail this year, we have been working with Weyhauser and they are really great to deal with , they understand the HUGE economic impact snowmobiling has on our little communities. We did have some re routes and lucky for us Mrs Burns is a very community minded person, we have opened the old Brassua trail  and route 66 at green bridge and marina now goes behind the white church , this is a much safer road crossing . Please stay on marked trails , all land owners watch

What a great weekend, we got 6-10 inches of heavy snow Friday. Groomers went out Wednesday and Saturday nights. In town groomer had a break down Saturday night and Carey fixed on Sunday and finished grooming last night. Our plan is grooming Monday and Wednesday . We will be out hopefully Friday and will see what snow and temperature conditions let us do beyond that. Officially the season ends the 31st, I am sure if all clubs will be grooming if at all possible this weekend. Enjoy

3 / 21 / 19 TRAIL REPORT

Spring is here, hopefully some of the best riding still to be done. We groomed Sunday night and Wednesday nights. We will wait till after this rain / snow storm Friday & Saturday to groom again, temps need to cool down . Reports are lake is a little rough, no major slush reports as of today, that can change with all the rain coming. Remember both lakes are being drained down aggressively to off set all the snow and rain, conditions on lakes can change very quickly. Ride safe , always wear a helmet and tek vest. Enjoy!

We groomed everything Saturday night as did the Birches, so all of Rockwood’s trails are in great shape. trails will hold up good this week with the cold air staying till Friday. We will groom this weekend according to temps. I think we still have a good couple of weeks left for trail riding and who knows on back country riding. Enjoy

TRAIL REPORT 3 / 14 / 19

We groomed all of BRRSC trails Wednesday night. Trail reports are very good , a little rain Friday , I don’t believe that will hurt the trails at all. still great riding up in the Moosehead area, so come on up and enjoy it. Want to pass along information on both Brassua and Moosehead lakes, the power company is dropping the level very fast and more than normal, this means rocks and stumps will be hazards no previously there. As always please ride safe , use caution and enjoy the ride, slow down and look around at the beautiful scenery
